Barbados has some of the best food in the world! I was able to see it for myself during my trip to this beautiful Carribean island. Here are the best 12 restaurants in Barbados!
1. The Fish Pot
The Fish Pot Restaurant is located on the beach north of Speightstown, on the northwest coast of Barbados, overlooking the Carribean Sea with white sand beach. Located in a historic 18th-century fort, the restaurant offers breathtaking views through an open-air covered terrace. The Fish Pot is known for excellent food and fantastic ocean-front location.
It’s one of the best places to watch sunsets in Barbados. The dining area is decorated with traditional British Colonial coral stone. My favorites on the menu are Fishpot Caesar salad for an appetizer and Grilled Flying Fish or an Escalope of Pork with Parmesan Crust for a main dish. My favorite dessert is the Pecan Carrot Crumble with Maple Almond Ice Cream.
2. The Beach House
The Beach House is a gorgeous oceanfront restaurant in Holetown, Barbados. The restaurant serves delicious local cuisine. It’s a great place to watch a sunset. The views and the location are amazing!
3. Cariba
Located on the west coast of Barbados, Cariba Restaurant offers modern Caribbean cuisine with an Asian twist. It’s a great place with authentic food and a friendly atmosphere! Here you will find some of the best food on the island!
4. Lone Star
The Lone Star Restaurant is one of the best beachfront restaurants in Barbados. It’s famous for its fantastic food, excellent location, and celebrity guests that love to frequent this restaurant. The menu features a fusion of the Carribean and European cuisines.
My favorite seafood dishes are Brioche & Herb Crusted Halibut and Mirin & Soy Glazed Local Barracuda. Other great main dishes to try are Lone Star Chicken Tikka Marsala Curry, Shredded Aromatic Duck.
The Lone Star is also a popular place for breakfast and Sunday lunch.
5. Drift Ocean Terrace Lounge
Drift Ocean Terrace Lounge is a fun restaurant and bar lounge in Holetown, on the west coast of Barbados. Set in a gorgeous oceanfront property, Drift offers an excellent menu of creative cocktails, such as Skully’s Sweet & Salty Martini or Skipper Mistress, and great local Carribean food. The restaurant boasts an excellent location next to the beach and is a great place for watching a sunset and relaxing with a cocktail!

The Cliff Beach House is a beautiful restaurant in a stunning setting overlooking the Carribean Sea. The name of the restaurant lives up to the expectations, and the views and the location are fantastic! The open-air restaurant overlooks the ocean. This restaurant is famous for great cocktails, excellent food, and friendly service. Visiting The Cliff Beach House will be a highlight of your holiday!
7. Round House
Round House is a historic oceanfront inn and restaurant. Located on the rugged east coast of Barbados, in Bathsheba, the restaurant is famous for its spectacular ocean views and delicious, local food. The restaurant serves Continental Caribbean cuisine in a beautiful setting overlooking the Atlantic ocean.

Cafe Bar Carizma located in Holetown, Barbados, is an excellent place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I had my favorite breakfast on the island in this cozy cafe!

Palm Terrace is a fantastic restaurant located in the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel in Barbados. This open-air restaurant is strategically situated along the beach, with huge white arches opening right into the Caribbean sea.
The menu is impressive and creative. My favorite main dishes include Seared Atlantic Scallops with Green Sweet Pea Panna Cota and Grilled Mahi-mahi with Red Onion Ash, Purple Mash Potato, and Sweet Pepper Aioli.
10. Taboras Restaurant
Taboras Restaurant located at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados is set in a stunning location, overlooking the beautiful Carribean Sea. It’s a great place to have a relaxing lunch or a romantic dinner by the sea. This open-air restaurant is one of the best places to watch a sunset in Barbados.

The decor is beautiful, the staff is professional and friendly. The menu features fresh seafood, meat dishes including veal, lamb, chicken, beef, and more! There are also delicious vegetarian options and a kids menu!
12. The Terrace Cafe at St. Nicholas Abbey
We accidentally stumbled upon the Terrace Cafe when visiting St Nicholas Abbey (a museum, a plantation house, and a rum distillery in Barbados). The Terrace Cafe is located within the property and offers great lunch options! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit through this historic abbey and enjoyed great food on a terrace overlooking lush greenery.
